RULES AND POLICIES
WE’VE CREATED A SET OF GUIDELINES TO HELP KEEP OUR PLAYERS AND STAFF SAFE WHILE MAKING SURE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE.
Players are responsible for reading and understanding the rules and policies for the league they join. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the league coordinator or reach out to the Viva Sports team at info@vivasports.cz.
Viva Sports may add or adjust rules and policies before or during the season.

GENERAL RULES AND POLICIES
Viva Sports welcomes all adults aged 18 and over to join our leagues. We’re open to everyone, regardless of race, color, sex, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression. Come play, meet people and enjoy being part of our community.
Viva Sports only accepts registrations through our website. Registrations cannot be made over the phone, by email, or on the field. You can register solo or with your team directly through our online portal.
If you experience any issues, you can email us at info@vivasports.cz
To join a league, open play session, training event, or tournament, simply click on the event you want to join. You will be redirected to our player portal where you can create an account, sign up for the event, pay the fee, and receive a confirmation email confirming your spot.
Sport Leagues: You’ll pay a one-time flat fee that covers the full duration of the league. Open Play / Pick-Up Sessions:
You’ll pay per session just for the ones you join. Training Sessions: You’ll pay per session only for the ones you attend. Tournaments: You’ll pay a one-time flat fee that covers the full duration of the tournament.
When you register as an individual, you will be placed on a team with other individuals, small groups, or teams that need players. You will remain on this team for the duration of the league.
Please note that no refunds are available if you are not satisfied with your team.
On your registration form, we ask for your preferences and do our best to match you accordingly. While we cannot guarantee everyone will get exactly what they want, we aim to create teams that are fair and balanced, with a good mix of females and males to ensure an enjoyable experience for all.
You can register as a full team on the registration form. The form shows the maximum number of participants for a team.
If your team does not meet the minimum number of players, we may add individual or small group players to your team. This ensures you have a complete team, as you are paying a team fee.
If your team meets the minimum number of players, no additional individuals or other players will be added.
If you have a small group, you can register together. For example, if you have only three friends and do not meet the full team requirements, individual players or other small groups may be added to your team to create a complete squad.
Please note that no refunds are available if you are not satisfied with the other players on your team.
All schedules and standings are available in your player portal under League Games, Dates, and Tables.
The standings table with points will be updated a few days after each game.
Once you register, the schedule will be sent to you by email. You are responsible for keeping track of your games and attending them. We always notify you by email a day or 2 days before your game that you have a game! In basketball, wins, losses, and draws are recorded, along with the game scores.
In beach volleyball, wins, losses, and draws are recorded, along with the number of sets won in each game. If you lose your schedule, you can always find it in your player portal or contact us at info@vivasports.cz.
Our leagues are organized by specific days. For example, if it is a Friday beach volleyball league, all games will be played on Fridays. The same applies to leagues held on Mondays, Wednesdays, or other designated days.
Leagues are structured by Game Weeks. For example, Game Week 1 refers to the first round of games, Game Week 5 is the fifth round, and so on.
If a game is canceled or needs to be rescheduled, it may be played on a different day to ensure all matches are completed.
All regular season games will start and end on time. Some leagues may allow a 10-minute warm-up or grace period, but the game clock will begin at the scheduled start time and all games will finish as scheduled. Game times are sent by email and are also available in your player portal under League Games, Dates, and Tables.
Once a team has the minimum number of players required to play, staff may ask the game to start to ensure the opponent does not lose game time.
For example, in a 5v5 social beach volleyball game, the minimum number of players to start is three. If a team arrives with five players but only three are present at the start, the game may begin.
If a team does not show up for a scheduled game, the match will be automatically awarded to the team that is present.
In volleyball, the forfeit score is capped at 3-0 in sets. In basketball, the forfeit score is capped at 40-0. In football, the forfeit score is capped at 5-0.
Open Play is a casual game session where you pay for a single session. Teams are created on the spot and you can enjoy playing without being part of a league. There are no standings or schedules, just an opportunity to play and have fun.
In a sport league, all teams play each other in a league format to accumulate points. The final week is reserved for playoff matches to determine the overall winners.
For example, in an eight-team beach volleyball league, the first seven weeks serve as a group stage where every team plays each other.
On the final day, the first-place team from the group stage will play the second-place team in the final, and the remaining teams will play in ranking matches.
If a team does not show up for a final game, the team with the higher points during the league will take their place and play in the final.
If a player breaches player conduct by physically or verbally assaulting other players or staff, they will be ejected from the game. Management will then review the situation to determine whether the player will be removed from the entire league. No refunds will be issued, as players agree to these terms and conditions when registering.
Viva Sports honors and shares lengthy suspensions with other local sports organizations. If you are suspended, no refund will be issued for games or sessions missed due to suspension.
Staff have the right to end a game due to persistent unruly or unsportsmanlike behavior by players or spectators. These games will not be rescheduled and no refunds will be issued.
Viva Sports staff may ask players or spectators to leave the premises for the remainder of the game or session if unsportsmanlike behavior continues. Failure to comply may result in a longer suspension, a lifetime ban, or intervention by authorities if necessary.
Teams are responsible for the behavior of their teammates and spectators. If a teammate or fan becomes unruly, teams should manage the situation to prevent further disciplinary action.
Viva Sports staff have the authority to remove any player or spectator for the following reasons:
Unsportsmanlike conduct
Not playing in the spirit of the game
Endangering opponents or themselves through actions on or off the field
Using faulty or illegal equipment
Being under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Sport Leagues
If a player withdraws more than one week before the registration deadline, they are eligible for a full refund.
If a player withdraws within one week of the registration deadline, they will receive a credit for future events instead of a refund.
No refunds are provided for personal circumstances, relocation, work schedule changes, or injuries once registration is complete.
League Cancellations and Rescheduling
If a league is canceled due to insufficient players or venue issues, you may join another league or request a credit for future events.
Delays in the start of a league due to roster completion, venue conflicts, or unforeseen issues do not qualify for a refund.
We aim to play all scheduled games. If games are postponed due to weather or venue issues, we will reschedule or provide prorated credits for missed games. Make-up games may include doubleheaders or games on non-league nights. Refunds will not be given if a player cannot attend rescheduled games.
Trainings, Open Play, and One-Day Events
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to be eligible for a credit.
For cancellations please contact info@vivasports.cz
To cancel your registration for a tournament, event, series, or league, please contact us at info@vivasports.cz
When you sign up for a program, your participation helps us provide the best experience for everyone involved. If you register but don’t attend, it not only prevents another player from taking your spot but can also lead to an imbalance in the number of participants, affecting the quality of the game.
If you are registered for a league and cannot attend a game, you may ask a friend to play in your place as a substitute.
If a team has three substitute players and only one original player, the game can still be played. However, the opposing team will automatically be awarded the win if they do not meet the minimum number of players required to start the game.
Viva Sports provides a league coordinator for most leagues to ensure everything runs smoothly and to assist with any questions you may have.
You can ask the coordinator for help during games or contact us anytime at info@vivasports.cz.
Most games will have officials present. Beach volleyball and other social sports will be managed by a coordinator only, while other sports will have at least one official, and sometimes two, depending on the game.
If you do not receive an email by 5 PM notifying you that a game has been canceled due to weather, the game will take place as scheduled.
As mentioned during registration, T-shirt color availability cannot be guaranteed. Colors depend on stock from our supplier and the options available for your specific league. While Viva will do its best to accommodate your preferences, we cannot ensure that you will receive your selected color or size.
On the day of the event, we may ask you to share videos or photos on our social media platforms. We will always seek your consent before posting any content. If you choose not to comply, we will respect your decision and will not share your videos or photos, ensuring that your privacy is maintained.
